Partnerships and Initiatives 

• The Wooster Chamber is proud to hold a voting seat on both our municipal and county Community Improvement Corporations (CIC). A CIC is chartered for the sole purpose of advancing, encouraging and promoting the industrial, economic, commercial and civic development of a city or county in a pro-business manner. By way of land purchases, transfers, revolving loans and public/private partnerships our CIC’s are able to remain nimble and responsive to business needs.

• Along with our partner cities and chambers in Wayne County, Wooster Chamber President Jeff Griffin is a voting member of the Wayne Economic Development Council’s Board of Directors. The wraparound services we are able to provide by way of partnership creates a responsive, solution focused environment for business growth and development.

• A downtown program developed to enhance the community of Wooster by improving the quality of its downtown businesses and living environment through planning, organization, design, promotion and economic development.

• Working with communities and businesses, the Department of Development promotes economic opportunities to improve the profits and prosperity of Ohio’s citizens. The Department acting in a support role provides financial, informational and technical assistance to those making an investment in Ohio’s future.
