Member of the Week 11/14/2022 -- Wooster Clock Company

A leap of faith led Stan Wengerd on a journey that quickly grew into a new career and a successful business. When he purchased a CNC machine at an auction in 2004, he had no idea that would be the beginning of Wooster Clock Company. Each clock is handcrafted using a multi-step process to carve and finish every detail.

THE FIRST CLOCK

After the CNC machine sat in his garage for about 6 months, Stan crafted his first clock as a Christmas gift for his parents. 6 months later, he moved into the building he still occupies today and began making Wooster Clock Company clocks full-time.

The clocks are finished front, side, and rear using multiple coats of finish. Every numeral and personalization is carved into the face of the clock giving it depth and a high-quality appearance. Each custom clock hand is laser-cut from steel. Only high-quality high torque movements are used to power the clock.

HANDCRAFTED

Every Wooster Clock Company clock is made to order. There are three primary sizes to choose from 17”, 24”, and 31”.  A variety of colors are available to choose from when selecting your order.

Given the handcrafted nature of the products, Wooster Clock Clock Company clocks are a unique gift for weddings, anniversaries, retirements, or house warmings.

Many clocks are used as home decor without any additional personalization. However, it is a popular option to add a name or a company logo to personalize the front of the clock.

NATIONWIDE SHIPPING

Wooster Clock Company has shipped to international locations as well.

Wooster Clocks are sold and shipped across the U.S. and many have shipped internationally as well. Orders can be placed through the website by selecting the desired size, style, and color combinations. After every detail is met on the order, the clock is boxed nicely in foam and double-boxed if they are being shipped for protection and a clean appearance for gift giving.

Stan continues to sell his clocks at a few local retailers who asked early on to carry them in their stores. Wooster Clock Company products can be found locally at Roomscapes in Wooster and Runions Furniture in Orrville. He has never pursued mass producing the clocks to provide wholesale to retailers out of a desire to maintain the detail and quality of each individual clock.
