2024 Board of Directors Award - Kitty Poo Club

Chad Kauffman

President,

Kitty Poo Club

Congratulations to Kitty Poo Club on being named the 2024 Board of Directors Award recipient!

Kitty Poo Club, a homegrown company specializing in home- delivered litter boxes and litter, has been honored with the Board of Directors Award by the Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce.

The company, which has undergone expansion at its 1909 Mansfield Road facility, is the brainchild of the father-and-son team of Porter Kauffman, a former Rubbermaid executive, and Chad Kauffman. Since its founding in 2018, Kitty Poo Club has been involved with the Chamber, Chad Kauffman said.

“This is both an honor and a humbling experience,” Chad Kauffman said. “Our involvement and support is only possible because of the hard work that so many people on our team have done in the growth and success of the business.”

After seeing how the Chamber fosters a vibrant business environment and supports local enterprises, Chad Kauffman said he and the company wanted to be a part of it.

Kitty Poo Club has sponsored and participated in a number of Chamber events and programs, especially those centered on education. The company was a founding Main Squeeze investor for Wayne County Lemonade Day, a program dedicated to teaching children the benefits of entrepreneurship and fundamental business principles.

Another program Kitty Poo Club has been a sponsor of is the Wayne Economic Forum which brings in top executives to stimulate discussions about best business practices and to spark innovative, thought-provoking ideas that benefit the local business community.

“Through these engagements, we are not just participating but actively shaping a brighter, more enterprising future for Wayne County and beyond,” Chad Kauffman said.

Working with the Chamber of Commerce has been a great experience, he added. It has helped him network with others, build relationships, and develop as a leader.

Chad Kauffman recommends other business owners become members of the Chamber and get involved. “It’s an investment in your business’s growth and success, as well as an opportunity to play a vital role in the prosperity of our community,” he said.
