Congratulations to Meaden & Moore on being named the 2025 Board of Directors Award recipient!

Meaden & Moore, a professional services firm specializing in accounting, consulting, and financial advisory services, has been honored with the Board of Directors Award by the Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce.

Founded in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1919, Meaden & Moore opened its Wooster office in 1968, making it the firm’s second location. Today, the firm operates 19 locations across the U.S. and maintains international affiliates, all while staying deeply rooted in the Wooster community.

Meaden & Moore is recognized not only for providing high-quality services but also for fostering a work environment that encourages balance and community engagement. Tax Director Susan Marlar, who also serves as Treasurer of the Chamber Board, highlighted the firm’s commitment to giving back, noting that employees are encouraged to take the time to volunteer and contribute to local organizations. “It’s a fun part of our job,” she explained, and it is woven into their workplace culture.

The firm has continually supported the Chamber through its participation and sponsorship of events such as Woosterfest, the Wayne Economic Forum, the Chamber Golf Outing, the Annual Dinner, and the Young Professionals network. Its contributions to Leadership Wooster and Manufacturing Day, along with connecting clients to Chamber events, have also been instrumental in strengthening the fabric of this community. Beyond events, members of Meaden & Moore’s team serve on boards and committees of local organizations, with several taking on the role of treasurer.

Meaden & Moore’s lasting impact on the Chamber and the community stems from its dedication to both professional excellence and civic engagement. Marlar emphasized the importance of meaningful community involvement: “It’s not just joining an organization…you have to get engaged.” This approach has demonstrated the rich benefits of intentional connections and contributions that come full circle.
