Manufacturing Day 2026: Inspiring Wayne County’s Next Generation
The Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce was thrilled to host the 12th Annual Wayne County Manufacturing Day on Tuesday, October 13, 2026! This vital program continues to connect our future workforce with local employers, helping us retain young talent and foster essential skills right here in Wayne County.
By introducing students directly to high-tech, high-paying career opportunities in our region, Manufacturing Day bridges the gap between education and local industry.
2026 Highlights & Impact:
300+ Area Students: Over 300 students from local schools participated in hands-on activities and witnessed cutting-edge advanced automation in action across local factory floors.
Leading Local Manufacturers: Top companies across Wayne County opened their doors to showcase diverse, high-potential career paths—including excellent opportunities available immediately following graduation.
Regional Collaboration: We were proud to collaborate with educational institutions and career centers across Wayne County and surrounding areas to strengthen our local job market.
Resources for Families: To keep the conversation going at home, participating students received detailed manufacturer booklets featuring company Parent’s Nights and family tour contact details.
